Draft, pending review. Not yet in effect. Last updated October 11, 2026.
prevu watches the things you ask about and sends you a daily brief. We collect as little as we can to do that, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- Account. When you sign in with Apple (and later Google, X or Meta), we receive an identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email. With Apple’s “Hide My Email” we only see a relay address.
- Watches. The plain-language text of what you ask prevu to watch, plus settings like location or price limits you add.
- Push token. A device token so we can deliver your brief and alerts. It identifies your device to Apple’s push service, not to us personally.
- Subscription status. Whether you have Pro, as reported by Apple. We never see your payment details.
- Basic diagnostics. Crash reports and minimal, non-advertising usage data to keep the app working.
How we use it
Only to run prevu: to find what you asked about, build your brief, notify you, and support you. We don’t use your data for advertising, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.
Who processes it
We use service providers for hosting, storage, and AI processing of watch text (to understand and fulfil your watches). They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. Sign-in providers handle authentication under their own policies.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account in the app under Settings; we then delete your account, watches and push tokens within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to processing. If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you these rights and the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
prevu is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires).
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
